Chapter 2: Verse 51-52
Subject: Detachment
विषय: वैराग्य
कर्मजं बुद्धियुक्ता हि फलं त्यक्त्वा मनीषिणः।
जन्मबन्धविनिर्मुक्ताः पदं गच्छन्त्यनामयम्॥२-५१॥
Endowed with evenness of mind the wise, having renounced the fruits of actions, is librated from the bondage of birth. He (thus) attains the Supreme position (state of enlightenment) which is beyond all evils.
Lesson: Abandon the fruits of your action to get liberation from the bondage of birth and attain the evil less supreme position.
क्योंकि समबुध्दि से युक्त ज्ञानीजन कर्मों से उत्पन्न होने वाले फल को त्यागकर जन्मरूप बंधन से मुक्त हो निर्विकार परम पद को प्राप्त हो जाते हैं। ॥५१॥
यदा ते मोहकलिलं बुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति।
तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च॥२-५२॥
When your intellect crosses the swamp of delusion, you become indifferent as to what has been heard and what is yet to be heard.
Lesson: Detachment from the material world (world of senses) is experienced when ones intellect sheds off his delusions.
जिस काल में तेरी बुध्दि मोहरूपी दलदल को भलीभांति पार कर जाएगी, उस समय तू सुने हुए और सुनने में आने वाले इस लोक और परलोक संबंधी सभी भोगों से वैराग्य को प्राप्त हो जाएगा। ॥५२॥
